How Mine Gold Heist: Names of Wanted Suspects Released

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has released names of wanted suspects in the How Mine Gold Heist where 11, 6kgs of gold valued at US$450 000 and four guns were robbed from Securico Security Company gold and cash-in-transit vehicles early this month.

The suspects are Abraham Vumbunu, Elijah Vumbunu, Israel Zulu, David Sanyatwe, Jimmy Gonyane, Vincent Ishmael, Abyssinia Shuma also known as Dulini, Chabikwa, Kelvin, Mike (no further particulars known).

The cash-in-transit vehicles were transporting gold to Fidelity Printers and Refineries when the armed robbers who had laid an ambush just 7km from How Mine blocked the vehicles before disarming the security guards and making off with the gold and guns.

Investigations have so far managed to account for three suspects namely Antony Moyo (39), Wilson Mutandwa (24) and Ernest Mutandwa (30) who are now assisting the police with investigations.

A USD 5000 reward has been placed for anyone who supplies information that will lead to the arrest of the culprits.
