The late Tynwald High School teacher Mr Chamunorwa Rukwanha

Mr Chamunorwa Rukwanha, a teacher who was part of the Tynwald High School Nyanga Bus Disaster, has died.
Mr Rukwanha died today at the Avenues Clinic in Harare where he was receiving treatment for the past two weeks after sustaining serious injuries from the accident.
The accident occurred on the 14th of October 2022 at around 1900hours.
The bus carrying 41 students and four teachers was heading to Nyanga from Harare when the driver failed to negotiate a curve resulting in the bus veering off the road and overturning several times at the 75 km peg along Rusape Nyanga Road near Pine Tree Hotel.
The accident claimed six Tynwald High School students and left 34 injured.
Condolence messages are pouring in with many expressing their heartfelt condolences on social media platforms.
Some of the messages read:
“He was an all rounder, very passionate about his work and year in and year out he produced the best results in any subject. We have been robbed of the best! MHSRIP”
“Nkosi yami. ️When I was new at Tynwald he made me feel at home and acclimatising wasn’t rough for me I was totally behind with the syllabus he taught me and pulled me as though I was his own daughter….We will understand this by and by.”
“He taught me A level Geo. The best ever hired by Tynwald veduwe zvakaoma.”
