President Emmerson Mnangagwa Appoints 4 News Ambassadors

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has appointed four new ambassadors who are set to represent the country in Russia, Iran, Brazil and Japan.

Retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri is the new the Zimbabwean envoy to Russia, while Stewart Nyakotyo is the new Zimbabwean Ambassador to Japan. Meshack Kitchen will represent the country in Brazil while Bright Kupemha will represent Zimbabwe in Iran.

The appointments were announced in an Extraordinary Government Gazette yesterday by the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Misheck Sibanda.

“It is hereby notified that His Excellency the President has, in terms of section 110(2)(i) as read with section 204 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 20) Act, 2013, appointed Brigadier (Rtd) Ambrose Mutinhiri as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation,” he said.

The other three ambassadors were also appointed in terms of the same Act.
