Oscar Pambuka

Former ZBC News Anchor, Oscar Pambuka will not serve a prison sentence for the Croco Motors fraud after Magistrate Nyasha Vitorini sentenced him to a wholly suspended one year jail term on condition that he does not commit a similar offence in the next three years.
Pambuka was last week convicted for fraud after he impersonated Croco Motors director Mr Chingwena in order to dupe one Mazhangara of R36 000 in a fake spare parts shipment deal.
His conviction activated his previous case where he together with former Highfield MP Psychology Maziwisa were convicted and sentenced but had not served their sentence even after their appeal was thrown away.
In his judgement, Mr Vitorini said the court noted that Pambuka did not benefit from the offence and that the jail term he is serving for the Zimbabwe Power Company fraud would do justice to keep him out of crime.
Pambuka will therefore serve 2 years six months for the ZPC case.
