During his first term which ran from 2018-2023, president Mnangagwa embarked on a number of developmental projects under the National Development Strategy 1 which has seen the country setting itself firm on a recovery path.
Successful projects include construction of dams, roads, airports, water pipelines, border posts and major mining operations especially in the lithium and iron ore, and other critical infrastructure.
