The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrest of Thandowenkosi Ndlovu (20), a suspected serial killer who is believed to be behind the recent murder of homeless people in Harare CBD.
Five lifeless bodies of victims murdered in separate incidents were found in the Harare CBD between 28 August and September 4.
This ZRP declared a manhunt early this week and this Tuesday the suspect was arrested at the Rotten Row area.
According to the ZRP, Ndlovu is believed to be living in the streets and would target the homeless people at night crash and mutilate their body parts nd ate them.
“The suspect is believed to be living in the streets and would target homeless people and removed their body parts and genitals using broken bottles and braii them.
“He also has a case of attempted armed robbery in Milton Park,” said Nyathi in the statement.
It is not clear whether the motive was for ritual purposes of he is of not sound mentality.
