The Zimbabwe Football Association Normalisation Committee has appointed Yvonne Mapika Manwa as the new Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 November 2023 to June 2024.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), the ZIFA chairperson Lincoln Mutasa said Manwa will lead the secretariat into the next phase.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mrs Manwa to our team, and we believe her experience and leadership will be invaluable as we continue on the mission to transform Zimbabwean football.
“In this role, Mrs Manwa will be responsible for leading the Zimbabwe Football Association secretariat into its next phase under the Normalisation Committee,” he said.
Manwa served in a similar position at Ngezi Platinum Stars. She has previously served as General Manager, Operations Manager, and Finance and Administration officer in the private sector.
She becomes the second female CEO after Henrietta Rushwaya.
