The late Football Legend Rahman Gumbo

The late football legend Rahman Gumbo who died in Botswana last Friday will be buried at Lady Stanley cemetery on Saturday, his family has confirmed.
Gumbo’s family is currently working on the repatriation paperwork in Botswana and the body is expected in Bulawayo this Thursday.
On Friday, a memorial service for the football legend will be held at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre followed by a funeral procession, before burial on Saturday.
Family spokesperson Zebulon Mhlanga told the national broadcaster, ZBC News that the the family is finalising the process.
“We have covered enough ground. We are in constant communication with those in Botswana and information gathered indicate that they are almost done,” he said.
“We are a big family, we have others in the UK, but we have been given a place by the city council. So we will lay him to rest at Lady Stanley cemetery if there are no changes,” added Mhlanga.
Condolence messages are pouring from different corners of the world, with many football legends describing Rahman as a great Zimbabwean footballer and coach.
