Zimbabwe Reintroduces Youth Service Programme to Empower Future Leaders

In a significant move towards youth development, Zimbabwe has launched its Youth Service Programme, geared towards instilling patriotism and leadership qualities among the nation’s young populace.

The report on the Launch of the Youth Service in Zimbabwe Programme was presented by  Vice President  Kembo Mohadi, who chairs the Cabinet Committee on State Occasions and National Monuments, underscoring the critical need to nurture future leaders.

Themed “Empower Youth: Secure the Future,” the inauguration event will be graced by  President,  Emmerson Mnangagwa, who will be the Guest of honour.

Over thirty thousand youths from Mashonaland East Province and delegates from across the nation, are anticipated for the launch which promises an interactive platform between the President, government ministries, private sector stakeholders, and the youth attendees.

Concurrently, the Youth Empowerment Forum will unfold, aiming to facilitate dialogue between the President and the youth, unlocking socio-economic potential, identifying opportunities, and fostering investment in youth-driven initiatives. This forum represents a significant stride towards realizing Vision 2030, aligning youth empowerment with national objectives.

The government calls upon Zimbabwean youth to actively engage in these opportunities, highlighting their pivotal role in employment creation. Plans are in motion to expand the Youth Empowerment Forum nationwide across all ten provinces, ensuring widespread access to resources and support for youth development.
