Harare, Zimbabwe – The No One Sleeps Hungry (NOSH), a Zimbabwean charity organisation established to offer social and economic assistance to communities, this year made a significant 25% increase in its food aid as Zimbabwe grapples with the El-Nino induced drought.

The organization slaughtered and distributed 1,500 goats and 1,500 cattle which benefited over 40,000 families across Zimbabwe.

The crucial food assistance was offered during the Eid al-Adha celebrations, also known as the “feast of sacrifice” benefited

NOSH spokesperson Gashirai Nyemba said his organisation was happy to reach out to more families.

“For years, our mission has been to ensure that no one goes hungry,” stated NOSH spokesperson Gashirai Nyemba.

“This year we aimed to reach over 40,000 families, a significant increase from the 30,000 families we assisted last year.”

While NOSH founder, Mr. Afzal Motiwala who is also Medtech Holdings CEO, is a Muslim, the food aid programme is designed to benefit people from diverse religious affiliation.

NOSH’s commitment to its mission is made possible through global partnerships, with Mr. Afzal Motiwala expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the organization’s partners for their vital role in making this year’s distribution a success.

“We are incredibly grateful to our Turkish partners for their ongoing support in helping us improve lives,” he said. “This collaboration enables us to expand our reach and make a real difference for families in need.”

NOSH’s humanitarian efforts extend far beyond Zimbabwe’s borders, operating internationally under the banner of Zimbabwe Relief Aid. Last year, NOSH provided assistance to those affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Cyclone Freddy in Malawi.
