Former Zimbabwe Deputy Prime Minister and renowned academic Professor Arthur Mutambara has announced a highly anticipated book launch tour across key venues in the United Kingdom.

The tour, scheduled for July 18th to July 20th, 2024, will feature engagements at prestigious academic institutions and venues aimed at promoting his latest literary works and fostering dialogue on critical issues.

Professor Mutambara, distinguished for his contributions to both politics and academia, is set to kick off the tour at the University of Westminster in London on July 18th from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This event will provide attendees with an exclusive opportunity to engage directly with the former Deputy Prime Minister as he discusses his new book and shares insights garnered from his extensive experience in Zimbabwean politics.

The tour continues with a scheduled appearance at the University of Oxford on July 19th, where Professor Mutambara will address audiences from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Known for his scholarly pursuits and leadership in the field of robotics and mechatronics, Mutambara’s visit to Oxford promises to attract a diverse audience interested in both political discourse and technological innovation.

On July 20th, the tour concludes with a lunchtime event at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham, scheduled from 12:00 noon to 2:30 PM. This session aims to engage a broader audience in the Midlands region, offering insights into Mutambara’s perspectives on leadership and governance in Africa.

Born on May 25, 1966, in Zimbabwe, Mutambara holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Robotics and Mechatronics from the University of Oxford.

Mutambara is known for his intellectual prowess, strategic thinking, and outspoken advocacy for progressive change in Zimbabwe. He has authored numerous academic papers, articles, and books on technology, innovation, and development, contributing significantly to the discourse on these topics both locally and internationally. His books include “In Search of the Elusive Zimbabwean Dream: An Autobiography of Thought Leadership” and “The Challenges of Leadership in Africa: Insights from Arthur G.O. Mutambara.”
