The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) has intensified its focus on safety and security by leveraging modern technology to provide a seamless and secure experience for all attendees at this year’s Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.
This year’s show is scheduled to take place from Monday, 26 August, 2024 to Saturday, 31 August 2024, at the Harare Show Grounds under the theme, “Cultivating Prosperity: Growing Business. Innovating for Change.
Nurturing our Future”.
Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Honourable Dr. Anxious Masuka told Cabinet Tuesday that “great emphasis has been put on safety and security of both exhibitors and visitors, with wider and more modern CCTV cameras having
been installed, in addition to the use of drones.”
The use of turnstile and ticketing systems this year will usher in improved systems for both exhibitors’ and visitors’
convenience.
The 114th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural show will be organized around the agriproduce, tobacco, cotton, livestock, and commercial exhibitions sections.
According to Minister Masuka, as at 9 July 2024, a total of 52 218 square meters of the available 78 224 square meters for commercial exhibitions has been taken up by 208 exhibitors.
Exhibitors
from Pakistan, Japan, Netherlands, Brazil, Italy, Malawi, Botswana, South
Africa and Turkey have shown interest to participate at this year’s
Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.
The week long extravaganza will also see a number of high profile business conferences that include the Environment, Social and Governance breakfast Conference; the 12th Annual National
Agribusiness Conference; the Ambassadors Interface; and the Research for Agricultural Policy Influence Conference.
The invited Guest of Honour is expected to officially open the show on Friday, 31 August, 2024.
