Harare, Zimbabwe — The Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy has honored Palestinians in Gaza amidst the ongoing conflict that has seen universities and schools in the region destroyed by relentless Israeli bombardments.
During a recent ceremony, at least 35 students graduated with certificates in public diplomacy, protocol, and etiquette. The comprehensive curriculum included practical skills in international relations, negotiation, international business etiquette, and public international law.
Speaking at the graduation, Ambassador Almassri emphasized the importance of soft skills in diplomacy, asserting that they are essential for Africa to become a peaceful continent. He expressed gratitude to the Institute for recognizing Palestinians, who he stated are facing genocide.
Dr. Almassri also praised the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy for its support and called for solidarity with the Palestinian cause. Mr. Vova Chikanda, the Institute’s Chairman, reiterated this stance, advocating for the independence of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital. “Justice delayed for the Palestinians is justice denied,” Chikanda remarked.
