Shihan Wilfred Mashaya, the reigning Kobudo World Champion from Zimbabwe, made history at the IMAC English Open Tournament in England, clinching an impressive 4 gold medals and 1 silver medal!

Mashaya, a multi-award-winning martial artist and Hall of Famer, showcased his extraordinary skills in various ancient Okinawan and Japanese weapons, including:
– Swords
– Nunchaku
– Tonfa
– Sai
– Kama
He took home gold medals in:
– Black Belt Traditional Weapon
– Black Belt Freestyle Weapon
– Black Belt Creative Weapons
– Mixed Weapon Category divisions
And silver in the Advanced Musical Weapons category!
A Result of Dedication
Mashaya’s extensive martial arts background, holding multiple black belts in disciplines like Kyokushin, Bujinkan Ninjutsu, and Self-Defence, paid off in this impressive performance.
Global Recognition
The tournament brought together top martial artists from around the world, including England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Zimbabwe, India, Nepal, Morocco, and the USA.
A Step Closer to World Championships
Mashaya’s victory is a significant milestone in his preparation for the upcoming martial arts World Championships in October in Germany.
Honoured by IMAC
The IMAC organizers appointed Mashaya as the representative of the Martial Arts Body in Zimbabwe, presenting him with a certificate of appointment. A prestigious honour recognizing his commitment to martial arts.
Giving Back
As the founder of the Zim Ninja Academy in Harare, Mashaya continues to train upcoming martial artists in Zimbabwe.
