President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has announced a major reorganisation of the ZANU PF Politburo, realigning key leadership positions in line with the party’s constitution.
According to a statement issued by Ambassador Chris Mutsvangwa, the restructuring is grounded in Article 9 Section 65 as read with Section 67 of the ZANU PF Constitution. The changes, which are effective immediately, see several senior officials reassigned.
Advocate Jacob Francis Nzwidamilimo Mudenda, who was serving as Treasurer General, has been elevated to the position of Secretary General. Former Secretary for Legal Affairs, Patrick Anthony Chinamasa, has been appointed the new Treasurer General.
Outgoing Secretary General Obert Moses Mpofu has been moved to head the Information Communication Technology (ICT) portfolio, while Ziyambi Ziyambi, previously in charge of ICT, has taken over as Secretary for Legal Affairs.
The ruling party said the reorganisation underscores its commitment to strengthening internal structures and enhancing operational efficiency.
