Tickets for the upcoming NUBIAN NOTES – A Celebration of Women in Music concert are selling fast, with organisers predicting a full house at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on November 8.
The show will feature an all-female lineup of performers, but both men and women are invited to attend. Designed as a family-friendly event, it welcomes audiences of all ages and will showcase some of the finest talents selected for this special occasion.
The tickets are selling at Rainbow Towers Hotel and all MedOrange Pharmacies in Harare, priced at US$15 for standard and US$30 for VIP. Online tickets are also available through events.gatewaystream.com.
No tickets will be sold at the venue on the day of the concert.
At a press conference held this Thursday morning in Harare, organisers confirmed that groundwork for the event was complete and that the show is set to make history as Zimbabwe’s biggest all-female music celebration under the theme “Mambokadzi – The Rise of Her Sound.”
Gateway Stream Media Manager Elton Kurima told journalists that ticket sales are moving briskly and that anticipation is high among fans.
“Preparations are going as planned, and the energy from the fans has been overwhelmingly positive,” Kurima said. “Ticket sales are moving well, and it’s clear that people are ready for this one-of-a-kind celebration of women in music. As the show is expected to fill up the HICC, we encourage fans to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
The concert, organised by Gateway Stream Media — a subsidiary of the Rainbow Tourism Group — in collaboration with ZAR Events, will feature some of Zimbabwe’s most prominent female artists, including Feli Nandi, Gemma Griffiths, Tamy Moyo, Shashl, and Nisha Ts, in a night dedicated to celebrating womanhood, creativity, and the unifying power of music.
Kurima noted that NUBIAN NOTES aligns with Gateway Stream Media’s mission to celebrate and empower local artists.
“This show aligns perfectly with our goals — to empower artists and give them platforms where they can be celebrated,” he said. “By partnering with these incredible women, we are building an ecosystem that supports artistry and creativity.”
ZAR Events founder Connie Mazani said fans should brace for a spectacular night of music, dance, and entertainment.
“Get ready for an unforgettable night,” Mazani said. “Our event promises to dazzle with electrifying performances, captivating DJs, and an immersive atmosphere. Becky K from Capitalk FM and KVG from Star FM will host, while DJ Yahya Goodvibes will be on the decks.”
The performers also expressed their enthusiasm at the press briefing.
Award-winning artist Shashl said women are redefining creativity and leadership across industries.
“We are no longer just participants; we are innovators, leaders, and visionaries shaping culture in real time,” she said. “My performance will be soulful and heartfelt — a celebration of womanhood, music, and unity.”
Gemma Griffiths said the concert is a long-overdue celebration of women’s voices in music.
“It’s about time we had something like this. I want people to leave inspired and feeling part of something bold, honest, and magical,” she said.
Tamy Moyo hinted that her set will feature unexpected moments.
“Let’s just say there are moments that even the stage won’t see coming,” she said. “It’s a performance that blurs the line between story and soul.”
Feli Nandi described the concert as “more than a show.”
“It’s a statement. Women belong at the front,” she said. “Expect fireworks — we’re even inviting some male collaborators to join us,” she said.
