Former Dynamos assistant coach, Murape Murape, has been appointed as the Head of Technical and Coaching at Real Oviedo Heritage Football Academy.
This announcement was made today by Monya for Hire on social media.
“Excited to announce my new role as Head of Technical/Coaching at Real Oviedo Heritage Football Academy! Our Academy offers a world-class football education, providing young players with the ideal environment to grow and develop,” Murape shared in the post.

With a strong belief in nurturing young talent, Murape expressed his desire to guide and inspire aspiring footballers, focusing on empowering them to reach their full potential.
“My goal is to inspire and help them achieve their football aspirations. I am passionate about empowering young footballers to reach their full potential and contribute to the growth of Zimbabwean football! Looking forward to developing and nurturing the next generation of football talent,” he added.

Murape’s passion for junior football development has been demonstrated through his coaching roles with teams like Dynamos Juniors and Real Betis Academy, where he played an integral part in grooming young players into professionals.
However, Murape’s legacy extends beyond coaching; it is rooted in his remarkable playing career. Known for his significant contributions to Dynamos Football Club, he was part of the iconic 1998 Dynamos team that made history by advancing to the African Champions League. He later became the team’s captain and transitioned into coaching both junior and senior teams at the club, cementing his place as one of Dynamos’ finest footballers.
Born in 1980, Murape joined Dynamos in 1994 and was with the club for the better part of his career to become the longest-serving player in its history. He only left and played for teams like Buymore, Shooting Stars and Swaziland briefly before coming back home to Dembare.
He was named Soccer Star of the Year in 2007, won six titles with Dynamos, and claimed several cup victories.
Murape’s leadership, determination, and undeniable skill were key to his success at Dynamos, qualities he now brings to his coaching career.
His dedication to youth development aligns perfectly with the academy’s mission to provide world-class football education and create an environment where young players can thrive.
