Despite being the Chibuku Super Cup defending champions, Dembare have been forced to play in the preliminary round owing to their current relegation zone position on the log. They will open their campaign with a clash against Yadah FC at Ngoni Stadium. If they progress past the Miracle Boys, they will face in form Simba Bhora in the first round.
The 2025 Chibuku Super Cup promises thrilling action, with the winners taking home $75,000 from a total prize pool of $350,000, while the runners-up will pocket $50,000. The tournament also offers the coveted chance to the winners to represent Zimbabwe in the CAF Confederation Cup.
With a disappointing league season so far, that has seen onmy 2 league wins, the Glamour Boys are hoping to draw inspiration from their rich history in the competition, having lifted the cup for the past two consecutive years.

Their back-to-back triumphs have underlined Dynamos’ pedigree as a dominant force in Zimbabwean football, but the current form has generated more questions than answers. The poor performance is also compounded by the financial woes that have seen them fail to participate in the African championship last year.
This year, the bottom four teams in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League after Week 17 must battle it out in the preliminary round.
Dynamos face Yadah FC at Ngoni Stadium on August 6, while Triangle United host Kwekwe United at Mandava Stadium on August 7. Both matches kick off at 3 PM.

Winners from the preliminary round will advance to the first round, joining the top 14 teams. First round matches are scheduled for August 9–10, with the following fixtures:
Simba Bhora vs Dynamos/Yadah (Wadzanayi Stadium)
MWOS vs Caps United (Ngoni Stadium)
