Zviko Farms emerged as the Overall Livestock Winner at the 2026 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show after showcasing a strong selection of high-quality animals that impressed the judging team.

The achievement marked a major success for the farm, reflecting its commitment to livestock production, breeding and animal quality.

Livestock judging and exhibitions form an important component of the show, providing breeders with an opportunity to display the quality of their animals and compete for recognition in various classes and interbreed categories.

Among the standout performers were Zola, which represented the farm in cattle; Tanaka in sheep; and Messi III in goats. The three animals were recognised as Zviko Farms’ Interbreed Grand Champions.

The awards were presented during the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show, with the farm receiving its trophies from President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

For Zviko Farms, the achievement was the result of sustained work by its livestock team, from breeding and selection to the daily care of the animals.

The farm credited its staff for maintaining high standards in livestock management and preparing the animals for competition.

The success also provided an opportunity for the farm to highlight the importance of developing the next generation of agricultural enthusiasts.

The achievement was celebrated by Zviko Farms alongside the owner’s grandchildren, underscoring the farm’s emphasis on passing agricultural knowledge and an appreciation of livestock breeding from one generation to another.

The result places Zviko Farms among the notable performers at this year’s agricultural show, where livestock breeding remains an important part of the exhibition.

The Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) is Zimbabwe’s major annual agricultural exhibition and brings together farmers, agribusinesses, government institutions, technology companies, investors and members of the public.

The 2026 edition, held from 24 to 29 August was held under the theme “Powering Growth: Where Agriculture, Technology and Commerce Converge”, reflecting the increasing focus on technology, investment and commercialisation within Zimbabwe’s agricultural sector.

Beyond competition, the livestock section provides a meeting point for breeders, farmers, buyers and other players in the agricultural value chain, making the annual event an important platform for showcasing developments in Zimbabwe’s farming sector.
