The Embassy of the state of Palestine in Harare has condemned in the strongest terms the massacre carried out by Israeli Forces against people in refugee camp of Jenin as well as in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
The attack left 6 dead and 30 wounded in critical conditions.
According to the Palestine Ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Tamer Almassri, this crime is a continuation of the all-out war that apartheid Israel is waging against the Palestinian people which reflects the bloody approach of the extremist occupation government’s practices and policies of terrorism and aggression.
Said the Ambassador: “We hold the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this ongoing aggression against our people in Jenin, Gaza and other Palestinian cities, as this is a dangerous escalation that threatens stability in the entire region and the world.”
The attack is regrettable given that the world leaders are currently gathered in New York at United Nations 78th General Assembly where the search for peace in conflict zones is one of the top priorities.
Several leaders including Turkish President,
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Polish president Andrzej Duda and Jordan leader King Abdullah, yesterday took the opportunity at the global conference to condemn Israeli aggression against Palestine and called for the world to intervene.
“We will continue to support the Palestinian people in their struggle for their legitimate rights under international law,” the Turkish president said.
Jordan leader, King Abdullah appealed for Sustainable funding which he said is urgently needed by UNRWA, the UN agency that provides vital relief, education and health services to millions of Palestinian refugees.
These calls are in line with Palestine position that the world leaders have not done much to help the Middle East country.
“The international community’s double standards and failure to act against the Israeli violations of Palestinian people’s rights encourages Israel to increase its crimes against our oppressed people,” said Ambassador Almassri.
“The Israeli apartheid continues occupation should be condemned by all the progressive peoples, governments and human rights organizations,” he added.
The state of Palestine says it remains resolute in searching their legitimate rights and establish their independent sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital.
